As the title suggests, Lamott shares a lot of shrewd opinions about the writing process and both heart-wrenching and humorous experiences she\u2019s had as a published writer, from recording her father\u2019s battle with brain cancer to hilarious stories about her writing students. Don\u2019t be scared away from this book if you don\u2019t like writing though, Lamott also slips in a lot of refreshing perspectives on life itself. Reading Lamott\u2019s book reminded me about how big and exciting the world seemed as a child and to watch out for the little things in life, they\u2019re what you\u2019ll vividly remember and always make for good plot material!
