A friend of my mother&#8217;s recommended the book\u00a0as a\u00a0timely look at the\u00a0parallels between\u00a0current\u00a0political turmoil and\u00a0the Fascist forces that gave\u00a0rise to WWII.\u00a0This woman has sent <em>On Tyranny<\/em> to every US Senator, as a means of encouraging them all to\u00a0rise above\u00a0partisan\u00a0squabbles and, together, stand\u00a0up for\u00a0Democracy and freedom. The book is a short 115 page read and Snyder makes every word matter. I\u00a0recommend it to\u00a0anyone who wonders how we got to where we are\u00a0as a country, where\u00a0we might be\u00a0going, and what ordinary people can do to not be ruled by fear and hatred.
