October is LGBTQ History Month. Neiman Mocombe, ’26, curator of last year’s Student Voices Collection, “The Black Artist”, has selected titles that investigate cultural views on queerness throughout history, in addition to celebrating the tenacity and creativity of queer individuals. Scientists, athletes, celebrities, and artists have courageously spoken out about their identities in the midst of ongoing stigmatization.<\/p>\n

Nieman hopes that “by exploring this collection, you will notice the intersectionality within these genres and how, regardless of their situation, queer people continue to shape and pioneer transformative creations and ideas that positively impact society.”<\/p>\n
