My first impression of this book left me with a surprising thought: this book is so much like Harry Potter…except its darker, richer in context, and riveting in its plot. Quentin’s age also surprised me. He is a college student! Immediately I could relate to the main characters. I would really recommend this book to anyone who remotely liked the Harry Potter series. It is a tale of magic that is tailored for more adult audiences. You won’t regret it!
