I work at the HL circulation desk and the cover of this book caught my eye while I was shelving. It’s written by someone whose background was originally in literature and creative writing, and who has also published a few novels, but discovered programming on the side and gradually fell in love with it. This book specifically is a sort of memoir that traces his early work in writing and how he stumbled upon the “art” of writing code.
That was an interesting review and piqued my interest in a book that sounds as if it connects art to science. I also really got a kick out of how working in a library we can become “distracted” by the books we are working with..happens to me all too frequently. I can relate.
