I recently finished Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret and was eager to start another one of her books as soon as I put the last one down. I enjoy how she weaves multiple story lines together in unexpected ways that are revealed over time. Each time a piece of the puzzle is discovered, I think, “Ah ha! Now I see!” It’s these small discoveries over the course of the book – and up until the last pages – that keep me hooked and looking forward to what’s next.
I read both of these books in a wild rush myself–then gave copies to half the members of my family (who passed them very quickly onto other members of their families. . . . and so on, I expect). Moriarty really knows how to hook a reader.
